Meet our Staff
Ken Carr Senior Pastor	Pastor Carr is familiar with the greater Chicago area having lived here on several occasions. Ken grew up in the home of a pro football player and coach (his dad was the defensive coordinator for the Chicago Bears in 1969, 1973-74). He came to know the Lord through the witness of his uncle when he was 20 years old. Upon transferring to Wheaton College in 1980 he sensed God leading him into pastoral ministry. Having completed his bachelors degree at Wheaton in economics, he enrolled at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL from 1984-87, earning a masters degree. Pastor Carr was ordained by the College Church in Wheaton in 1989 and has served as an associate pastor in the Boston area and as the pastor of a congregational church in Iowa. He became the senior pastor of Christ the King Church in 2001. Ken is also a chaplain in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He is married to Priscilla and has four children; Kristina, James, Robert, and Cynthia.
Jeff Holwerda Associate Pastor	Jeff Holwerda joined the ministry staff in the summer of 2007.  Jeff grew up in Wheaton, Illinois and became a Christian as a child through the ministry of Honey Rock Camp in Northern Wisconsin.  He graduated in 1996 from Hope College studying Business and French, finishing off his studies in Dijon, France.  Jeff also graduated from Wheaton College in 2007, finishing a M.A. in Theology.  Jeff has worked part-time in the youth ministries at College Church from 2000-2002 and at Christ the King Church from 2002-2005.  He has also worked in the financial world in various positions between 1996-2007.  Jeff is married to Kathy and has four children; Luke, Lindsay, Kyle, and Kate.
